Erica Isom, MD

Erica Isom, MD is a board-certified internal medicine physician dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Xavier University of New Orleans before pursuing her medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. She then completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Isom’s journey into medicine was inspired by the care she received as a child, motivating her to help others by diagnosing complex conditions and improving patients’ health and quality of life.

Passionate about patient care, Dr. Isom enjoys investigating disease states, developing tailored treatment plans, and witnessing positive health outcomes. She values the relationships she builds with her patients and prioritizes continuity of care, ensuring that they feel heard and supported throughout their medical journey. She has a special interest in managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and mental health, helping her patients navigate these challenges with education and proactive treatment strategies.

Outside of work, Dr. Isom cherishes spending time with her husband and three children. Together, they enjoy participating in church activities, reading, traveling, and engaging in community service. She also loves attending sports events with her family.
