Shanay Smith, FNP-BC earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Family Nurse Practitioner from Purdue Global University and is board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Her commitment to equitable, empathetic care stems from her early nursing experiences, where she witnessed how often individuals were overlooked simply because of who they are. Becoming a Nurse Practitioner has empowered her to bridge that gap, ensuring every patient feels heard and cared for.
Shanay is dedicated to making every patient feel seen, safe, and supported, especially in moments of vulnerability. She has a passion for advocacy, and blends clinical expertise with compassion to deliver care that honors each patient’s unique experience, background, and health goals.
Smith’s clinical interests include primary care and she is especially passionate about creating calm, empowering environments where patients are encouraged to take ownership of their health journey. Her patients value her ability to combine scientific insight with emotional understanding.
Outside of work, Smith enjoys spending quality time with her husband and children, especially cheering from the sidelines at their extracurricular activities, enjoying outdoor events, and planning fun date nights. She also loves all things beauty.
