Islam Eltarawy, MD

Dr. Islam Eltarawy is a board‑certified family medicine physician who believes deeply in relationship‑centered, compassionate care. Dr. Eltarawy earned his medical degree from the University of Alexandria Faculty of Medicine and completed his family medicine residency with Mercy Health System in Wisconsin. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians.

Inspired to pursue medicine during his teenage years while supporting his family through his father’s cancer diagnosis, Dr. Eltarawy understands firsthand how profoundly thoughtful communication and steady guidance can shape a patient’s experience. His approach blends clinical expertise with empathy, ensuring patients feel informed, supported, and never alone in their care.

His clinical interests include early cancer screening, chronic disease management, including diabetes, hypertension, and obesity—and preventive care. He cares deeply about helping patients feel understood and wants them to know that their care team is truly there to support them.

Fluent in English, Arabic, and French, Dr. Eltarawy enjoys building meaningful connections with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time on activities that help him recharge, and stay grounded. He’s an avid reader, loves classical music and spending time outdoors. He has been married for over 20 years, is the proud father of two daughters, and shares his home with a spirited Shih Tzu.
