About Edwina Henry, MD
Dr. Henry wants patients to understand that taking care of themselves goes beyond treating symptoms; it involves caring for both their bodies and their minds.
Edwina Henry, MD earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northern Caribbean University and her Doctor of Medicine from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia, and is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Henry is dedicated to empowering her patients through education, compassion, and whole-person care. Originally from Jamaica, Dr. Henry was inspired to pursue medicine after witnessing firsthand how limited access to healthcare impacted communities in her home country. She combines her passion for helping others with a strong commitment to preventive and holistic medicine. Treating not just symptoms, but the root causes of illness.
Her clinical interests include preventive health, holistic wellness, and patient education. She believes in building strong, trusting relationships with her patients and helping them take an active role in their own well-being.
Outside of work, Dr. Henry enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially over shared meals or fun outings. She loves to travel and explore new cultures, particularly through trying vegetarian and vegan cuisines. A fan of all things creative, she also enjoys gardening, interior decorating, and DIY home projects.
