Job Title: Director of Operations – Primary Care
Position Summary
The Director of Operations – Primary Care is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and operational performance of a defined market of primary care clinics for Aylo Health. This role ensures efficient clinic operations, high-quality patient care, financial performance, and an exceptional employee and provider experience across multiple sites through the supervision of Practice managers and by fostering a culture that reflects Aylo values and Mission.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations for all primary care clinics across a designated market.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal protocols.
- Implement standardized workflows and optimize resource allocation.
- Monitor and improve clinical quality measures to ensure comprehensive and preventative care of patients.
- Subject matter expert with the ability to fill in as a practice manager on an interim basis if needed.
Team Management & Development
- Lead and mentor practice managers and other support personnel to achieve clinical outcomes.
- Support physician and advanced practice provider engagement and satisfaction.
- Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and service.
- Actively participate in community and company events in collaboration with practice managers to promote and champion the Aylo Brand.
- Cultivate a winning team and culture through talent routines and continuous improvement.
Strategic Execution
- Align market operations with enterprise operational goals and the organization’s strategic plan.
- Partner collaboratively with key stakeholders on business development and the marketing team to support patient growth.
- Identify and act on market trends, growth opportunities, and operational risks.
Performance & Financial Management
- Manage designated clinic headcount and staffing models to deliver a world-class experience to every patient.
- Track and improve KPIs, including patient experience, visit volumes, productivity, clinical care gaps and other key clinical targets.
- Use data to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
Patient Experience & Quality
- Champion patient-centered comprehensive care throughout the patient visit and exceptional service delivery to include continuity of care post-visit.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure quality, safety, and satisfaction.
- Ensure timely follow up on patient survey feedback.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related healthcare field.
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-site healthcare operations experience.
- Strong financial acumen and proven track record of delivering results.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership, oral and written communication and change management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), MBA, or similar.
- Experience in value-based primary care, population health, or physician practice management.
- Familiarity with EMRs (e.g., ECW, Epic, or similar platforms).
