Steve Harvey Gives Back on Father's Day

“A young man without a father in his life has a hole in his heart the size of this father,” – Steve Harvey

This past Father’s Day weekend, Steve Harvey hosted his 11th annual Boys Mentoring weekend at The Rock Ranch in Georgia, bringing over 200 young boys together who come from a fatherless household – and Aylo Health was fortunate to play a small part.

Steve Harvey, and wife Marjorie, created The Steve Harvey Foundation and Mentoring Program for Young Men back in 2009, where they annually select teenage boys across the United States, ages 13-18, who grow up without a father figure. Throughout the last 10 years, they have impacted over 4,000 adolescents and continue to grow.

The program was designed to share and teach the principles of manhood while helping them prepare for a strong and productive future. They strive to be the change-agent in promoting excellence through teaching, social well-being, and diverse communities. Through their Mentoring Program for Young Men, they encourage the next generation of leaders by mentoring, providing educational development, and worldwide service initiatives.

Throughout this interactive weekend, the teenage boys attended a host of workshops, where they focused on manhood, personal responsibility, dream building, and the importance of nutrition and fitness. Furthermore, the selected participants were introduced to positive male figures like the Dr. of Internal Medicine, Kenneth Redcross; Atlanta Hawks NBA player, DeAndre’ Bembry; NBC Chicago P.D. actor, LaRoyce Hawkins, and more.

In addition to the boys’ camp, the weekend also included the Single Mother’s Enrichment Summit, where single moms came together and were provided the tools to help support and raise productive young men.

For the third consecutive year, Aylo Health was honored to donate a large supply of specific items needed for these young men and women, helping them prepare for a long and exciting weekend. We humbly appreciate the opportunity to give back to the community whenever we can and are grateful in doing so.
