The Recipe: High-Protein Air Fryer Bagels

Here’s how to make these trending bagels in just a few easy steps:

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Bagel seasoning of choice (we went with everything bagel)

Directions:

  1. Mix your dough: Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and Greek yogurt in a bowl. Use your hands to bring it all together into a sticky dough.
  2. Divide and knead: Split the dough into 3 roughly equal pieces. Knead each for about 30 seconds to smooth them out. Don’t worry about perfection, just work out any large cracks.
  3. Shape your bagels: Roll each piece into a rope and pinch the ends together to create that signature bagel shape.
  4. Egg wash & season: Brush each one with an egg wash and sprinkle with your favorite seasoning.
  5. Air fry: Cook at 350°F for 10 minutes, flipping after 8 minutes so the bottoms turn golden and crisp.
  6. Cool & enjoy: Let them sit for 10–15 minutes to firm up inside. Then slice and top with cream cheese, avocado, or turn it into a protein-packed sandwich.
