Positive Athlete Do Amazing Things Award

Independently-Owned Georgia Based Healthcare Network Opens Nominations In Partnership With Positive Athlete, Invests In Lives Of Metro Atlanta Students

As a way to give back to the communities it serves, Aylo Health, an independent, family-owned network of primary care practices in Georgia, commits to giving four $1,000 college scholarships to high school athletes in schools and communities across Metro Atlanta.

“At Aylo Health, we know care is contagious, so we are committed to uplifting and celebrating positive stories in the communities we serve,” said Nick Williams, Chief Executive Officer of Aylo Health. “The Do Amāzing Things Award was created as an extension of our mission to make quality healthcare simple and convenient because healthy people can do amazing things. We are honored to open nominations in support of high school student athletes in our north and south markets who are making a difference, both on and off the field.

The Do Amāzing Things Award is part of the Positive Athlete program, which recognizes and celebrates high school student athletes across the nation who have overcome difficult circumstances, given back to their schools and communities in a significant way or have an infectious positive attitude that makes everyone around them a better person. Aylo Health has been a Positive Athlete member and sponsor of the Do Amāzing Things Award since 2017. In that time, the company has donated a total of $60,500 to the program.

“Aylo’s impact in Georgia is nothing short of amazing,” said Ryan Pederson, Vice President of Positive Athlete. “They are an instrumental part of the Positive Athlete program, and we’re proud to embark on another season of recognizing students across the state together.”

Two scholarships will be given to students in the South Atlanta region, which is made up of nominees from Henry, Clayton, Butts and Rockdale Counties. The remaining two scholarships are for students in the Northwest Atlanta region, which includes Cherokee and Cobb Counties.

“As a family-owned primary care network, we value investing in the next generation of change-makers,” said Shannon Coursey, Community Relations Manager of Aylo Health. “Each year, we are deeply inspired by the remarkable stories of students who are making a difference in their communities. It’s an honor to support them as they embark on the next chapter of their journey and continue to do amazing things.”

Continuing its investment in the Northwest Atlanta region, Aylo Health will open a Woodstock location this  December. The new, two-story, 25,000-square-foot facility will house Aylo Health’s fourth primary care practice in the area and offer the convenience of in-house labs, x-rays, extended hours, weekend availability and same-day appointments. The new location will be one of the only independently owned primary care practices in Georgia to house a full-service, on-site imaging center.

Nominations for the Do Amāzing Things Award are open now until April 4, 2025. Any student athlete in grades 9-12 across all sports can be nominated by an adult. This includes, but is not limited to, coaches, teachers, administrators, parents, family and friends. To nominate a student for this scholarship, click here.
