Post medical school, she completed both her medical Internship and Residency at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Illinois – where she specialized in Family Medicine. Dr. Gay chose to practice medicine because of the position it would offer for her to be a motivating factor in the lives of others to actually prevent and improve her patient’s overall health. She is most passionate about women’s health, access to care, sexual health and contraception, obstetrics, hypertension, and global health disparities. Dr. Gay enjoys getting to know her patients and being able to talk to them about their health and personal lives, as it relates to their health. As a family medicine doctor, she encourages building a professional relationship to better understand them and to better equip her in caring for their whole being. Dr. Gay is board-certified with the American Academy of Family Physicians and Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine, and in her free time, enjoys cycling and working out, having brunch with friends, and traveling.
