Future-Generation---The-Family-Values-Award

What defines an ‘athlete’? Maybe their determination, triumph, or enthusiasm?

While these terms are intertwined with being an athlete, there’s also a more robust foundation worth commemorating – making a difference through their character and attitude, something that Aylo Health is honored to support.

For the second year, we’re proud to partner with Positive Athlete and Hines Ward – giving away two Family Values Awards to the male and female athletes that best embody the heart of a Positive Athlete, and who exemplifies the importance of positive family values.

Seven years ago, Scott Pederson (founder and president of Celebrate Positive, LLC) and a group of well-known athletes shared a distinctive goal – to shine a light and honor young, positive athletes that gave back, despite their circumstances through scholarships, as well as recognition. It was this type of athleticism that they knew was eagerly needed to be honored, along with being rewarded. Positive Athlete’s message was infectious and soon migrated to Hines Ward’s stomping ground here in Georgia. Ward, a former Georgia Bulldog, two-time Super Bowl champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers and season 12 winner of Dancing with the Stars became the spokesperson, and the foundation was widely received.

Hines Ward says, “We’re searching for kids with positive attitudes whose efforts don’t necessarily show up on the stat sheets. These kids are also positive role models in their schools, who get involved in charitable causes, have already learned the meaning of giving back at an early age, and may have overcome difficult circumstances yet remained positive. So, adding an award such as Aylo Health – Family Values Award will definitely impact these already amazing kids in an even greater way”.

This kind of ambition is a great fit for Aylo Health. It gives us the chance to give back to the community, while also supporting the future generation of leaders who reflect our family values. Young athletes who encourage and put their teammate first, on and off the field, who help others, serve their communities, who acknowledge their deficiencies, always give 110%, and who set an example for others – these are just a few exemplary attributes that qualify a student-athlete for nomination.

Aylo Health is proud to unite with Hines Ward and the Positive Athlete team as a scholarship sponsor. We will be honoring two special athletes from our surrounding counties of Henry, Rockdale, Butts, and Clayton that best represents the characteristics of the Family Values Award and two $1,000 college scholarships. If you know of someone that embodies these attributes, click here and be sure to nominate them by March 15th, 2019.

Let’s encourage our positive teens to create the foundation of a ‘go-getter’ in school, sports, and in life, and show that there’s more to celebrate than just trophies. Together, we can help honor and reward a commendable student-athlete.
